Pipe and flexible Riser cleaning 

Cleaning pipes and flexible risers is a critical part of maintenance and integrity preservation. Our innovative cleaning tool has been designed specifically for this task. The cleaning frame is versatile and can be used for pipe diameters from 150mm to 300mm OD.

The cleaning tool is able to efficiently remove stubborn deposits such as mussels and barnacles as well as softer deposits such as algae and plants. It can be used for flexible materials such as PE, PU and neoprene as well as for pure steel pipes.

The cleaning units are activated with the aid of a simple hand hydraulic pump. Another pump controls the locking mechanism. The integrated failsafe mechanism ensures that the unit opens automatically in the event of a loss of hydraulic pressure, enabling safe recovery.

The cleaning frame is deployed from the topside without the ROV and moves down the vertical riser under its own weight. The actual cleaning work is carried out when it is pulled up using a winch. A total of nine cleaning units can be switched on or off individually as required. The cleaning heads can also be exchanged and customised with different modules depending on requirements.
