InnetiQs developed MagControl based small diameter internal pipeline inspection tools for 1” wall thickness. The challenge for small internal pipe (here 4”) and high wall thickness is with small space pipe inner bore which limits the possibility to generate a strong enough electromagnetic field to still penetrate through wall thickness of 1”.
After qualifying technique and tool by demonstration at artificial defects, InnetiQs internal small bore tool has lately shown success of detecting small and even shallow external small volumetric defects through heavy wall with no internal pipe preparation.
