Our service engineers are currently working on an FPSO to inspect top side pipes of various diameters – even through coatings and fire protection.
They are using our advanced MagIQ PS19 Pipe Scanner – optimised for reliable inspections even in the immediate vicinity of flanges.
The system very reliably detecting external and internal corrosion, especially isolated pitting damage. The scanning results in high resolution C-Scan mapping and individual defect sizing.
The scans are done over distance in axial operational mode, near flanges and other obstacles circumferential scans support to close dead zone gaps.
