To inspect the flexible riser inside the J-Tube we have developed advanced manipulator systems and sensors that can navigate through the small 80 mm access holes of Riser-Hangoff flanges. These access points are normally used for the nitrogen inlet. Thanks to these new technologies, potential defects in the tension armour wire of the flexible riser pipes can be efficiently detected.
